New flue spillage stat on a gas AGA in Albrighton

A gas AGA in Albrighton kept tripping out. Ian found a faulty flue spillage stat during the annual service, fitted a new one and ran the usual tests.

In Ian's words

I came out to an AGA in Albrighton for its annual service. The flue spillage stat wasn't working and kept tripping out, so I replaced it.

The stat is a safety device. If the flue isn't clearing properly it shuts the cooker down, so a faulty one has to be replaced.

We got the new stat through the ducting and fitted it back into the clip. Then I turned the AGA back on and did the usual routine tests.
