Ian services, repairs and installs Rayburn cookers across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell, on gas, LPG and oil. He is Gas Safe registered for gas and LPG and OFTEC registered for oil, and he takes calls seven days a week.

How often should a Rayburn be serviced?
Once a year, by an engineer registered for its fuel: Gas Safe for gas and LPG, and OFTEC for oil. Ian's numbers are Gas Safe 6061489 and OFTEC 11834.

Repairs
When a Rayburn stops working
Many Rayburns heat the hot water, and some run the central heating too, so a fault can leave you without more than the cooker.
Ian finds the fault in the burner, thermostat or controls and repairs it. If you can smell gas or oil, turn the supply off if it's safe to and ring him. For a gas smell, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first.

Do you service and repair Rayburns?
Yes. Ian services, repairs and installs gas, LPG and oil Rayburns, including models that also heat the hot water. The same registration rules apply as for an AGA: Gas Safe for gas and LPG, OFTEC for oil. More about Rayburns.
How often should an AGA be serviced?
Once a year for gas, LPG and oil cookers, by an engineer registered for that fuel. An electric AGA has no burner, so it only needs looking at when a fault appears.
Do I need a Gas Safe engineer for an AGA, or is OFTEC enough?
It depends on the fuel. By law, a gas or LPG AGA has to be worked on by a Gas Safe registered engineer. For an oil AGA, use an OFTEC registered engineer. Ian holds both registrations. His Gas Safe engineer number is 6061489, the business is registered as 514574, and his OFTEC number is 11834.
